Following the recent fire incident at the Ile Du Port ‘Net Repair’ area, the Seychelles Fisheries Authority (SFA) has reopened the area for operations as of today, Monday, 21st October 2024. This decision was made after the Seychelles Police and Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency (SFRSA) cleared the site for operations to resume.

Operations will resume with the exception of one demarcated area. The demarcated area, surrounding where the fire occurred, will remain closed for the next 2 days, during which time extensive debris removal will take place.
