The Seychelles Fisheries Authority (SFA) welcomed the Board of Commissioners, Acting CEO, and senior management team of the Public Enterprise Monitoring Commission (PEMC) for an official courtesy visit aimed at strengthening collaboration and enhancing governance. The agenda included presentations on SFA’s core functions, strategic vision, key milestones, performance updates, financial highlights, major ongoing projects, corporate governance, and compliance frameworks, along with findings from PEMC’s compliance and performance reviews.

An interactive Q&A session fostered open dialogue on future priorities and collaborative opportunities. Following the meeting, participants toured SFA’s facilities at Providence and Perseverance, including the ice plant, cold storage units, inspection stations, and aquaculture facilities, gaining firsthand insight into the Authority’s infrastructure and operational capacity.

SFA Chairman Mr. Radley Weber expressed appreciation for PEMC’s engagement, underscoring the importance of partnership in promoting accountability and sustainable fisheries development in Seychelles.

The courtesy visit concluded with a renewed commitment from both SFA and PEMC to deepen collaboration, enhance monitoring frameworks, and work collectively towards sustainable fisheries management and enterprise performance improvement in Seychelles.
