The Seychelles Fisheries Authority (SFA) successfully convened its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 2 July 2026, bringing together key stakeholders including representatives from the Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Blue Economy, the Public Enterprise Monitoring Commission (PEMC), the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, Trade & Investment, SKS Chartered Accountants, members of the SFA Board of Directors, and SFA management.

The AGM provided an important platform to review the Authority’s performance for the 2025 financial year, highlighting key operational achievements, financial performance, and strategic priorities for the years ahead.

During the meeting, the Directors’ Report and Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2025 were presented and adopted by the Shareholder. The Authority also confirmed the interim dividend of SCR 45 million as the final dividend for the year under review.

In addition, SKS Chartered Accountants was reappointed as SFA’s external auditor for the financial years ending 31 December 2026 and 31 December 2027. The meeting also featured presentations on SFA’s major capital expenditure and investment plans, risk management framework, organisational achievements, operational challenges, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives implemented throughout the year.

In his closing remarks, the Chairperson expressed appreciation to the Board of Directors, management, staff, and stakeholders for their continued commitment and collaboration in supporting SFA’s mandate. He reaffirmed the Authority’s dedication to upholding transparency, accountability, and the sustainable development of Seychelles’ fisheries sector.

The AGM served as a valuable opportunity to reflect on SFA’s progress while reinforcing its commitment towards strengthening the management and sustainability of Seychelles’ fisheries resources.
